Yes they made some mean car speakers the 4B's have phenomanal Bass and the clarity of these is to die for the 4A's are more common and what you see the most out of these early vintage. As I posted earlier I have only ever seen 2 pair of the 4B's. Probably not VOH (given the suspected '90's production, correct?), but figured worth posting for whomever might still be looking. (not mine)

Re: Voice of the Highway "Gems"

Thanks for the heads up (Gearfreak) :2thumbsup:.But he mentions Carbon fiber cones that tells me they are the newer ones from Sparkomatic (ALS line) etc... Would be nice to see some pix though, email sent. What I would really like to find is the AL-1 sub-woof setup w/2subs, 2-mids, 2-tweets, have not seen them for 30 years.

AB - more 'local' stuff for you...

    Altec lansing

    "ALC15 Ambiographic Control System"

    Whatever that means? :-)

Looks like a parametric EQ, but IDK...

Re: Voice of the Highway "Gems"

Thanks for the Heads up :2thumbsup: But these were built in MILFORD,PA as tempted as I am I try not to buy any of that stuff as it is made by Spark'o'matic with a thinly disguised Altec label

Now if they look like any of these come knock on my door and you may find something under the tree.
